Hello everyone,

I understand that the profile we fill prior to getting an ITA is just a high-level overview of a person's life so CIC can calculate the points. I recently received my ITA and I can see that the profile that I have to fill out now is much more in details.

I have few questions regarding that stage of filling out the profile after ITA and I would very much appreciate any input on this:

1) I finished my bachelor's last year and have been working full-time since then. It is clear to me that under Work History, I only have to mention this full-time work that I have been doing since post graduation. But I am a bit confused with the part-time work I did for like a month while I was a full-time student. Would I put that under my Personal History? The fact it was only a month long in duration matters or not?

2) Let's say I actually end putting the part-time work (mentioned above) under my Personal History. Once I submit this profile, would they ask me for documentation to support this? If they do, is T4 slip going to be enough? Or I actually have to contact my employer for some proof? Do they even ask for documentation of any work mentioned in general under Personal History?

3) I also did some research work under different professors while I was a full-time student. It was a part-time paid position. And I did this for like 4 semesters. Would this also go under Personal History?

4) During my time in Canada, I stayed at my buddy's place for a couple of weeks like 5 years ago, while I was waiting for my on-campus housing confirmation. Is it necessary to put these sort of minor details under Address History?

Sorry if this was too wordy but please let me know if you guys have any advice. I have spent hours already searching for similar questions but I couldn't really find the answers.

My recommendation is to include all employment, including part-time, even if it was only just for a month, under Personal History, if it was in the last 10 years. I did this in my profile. You don't want it to come up in your background check and then have IRCC wonder why you didn't disclose it. You won't have to provide any documentation for work experience mentioned under personal history but not work history.

For the address history, I put all of my addresses, even short term ones. I don't know how long you stayed with your buddy ('couple' means 2, to some people, but a lot more than 2 to others :) ) , but if, at any point, you would have included your buddy's address on any kind of documentation during that period, or at some point in your life (i.e. it could possibly come up in your background check), I would include it. Again, you don't want something to come up in your background check that you didn't mention. Also, you can't have gaps in your address history, so unless you're comfortable listing another address for the time period you stayed with your buddy, you'd probably need to include it.

Yes, it was only two weeks during the semester break while I had to wait to get confirmation on my on-campus housing. Did not use that address on any documentation anywhere but you know what, you are right, no harm in just putting it up there. Thank you for your reply!
