:) Okay.

I am way too excited. But my husband and I are applying for his PR outland (he is American). I checked online just now, and our application was received in November 2012 and it says that "processing" began 3 days ago...

I'm just wondering - does anybody have an idea of how long processing takes from the time it begins to approval?

Thanks!!!

Nobody can know. It's depends on lots of variances. how many countries he has lived in,do you have enough proof of your relationship.... the first part of the visa office is to check and collect data of your husband which can take months.

Reply: OMG! Application Status saying "processing" as of 3 days ago!

lol....stay excited, you will need that energy and enthusiasm. I think there are some specific posts and threads on this topic. Try using the search function on the top right side of the forum and I bet you will find some specific updates related to your situation. Try with the name of your visa office and add the words "outland processing times". If I come across a relevant link I will send it over to you. Blessings. p.s. here is a link to the US outland applicants thread, I think this is where you need to look. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/us-outland-applicants-thread-t106068.1980.html

According to cic website it says outland applicants applying from the states is 16 months after the first step is completed. Thats 80 percent of applicants so depending on your situation it could less than that or a bit longer. Good luck
