I just recieved a letter from CIC indicating that i should send all the required documents as per the checklist provided within 120 days.In the checklist note,it says that all documents should be photocopies unless otherwise stated.

In the Experience category, they are asking for,

(a) Original reference letters from past and present employers."That word original is bolded".

(b) asks for work contracts past and present....NOW Iam not sure whether to provide original contracts or original notarized contracts or just photocopies. This is because under (b) it's not specifically asking for ORIGINALS unlike (a) above. That makes me think that since it's not indicated then i should just forward photocopies only for (b).

What should i do here regarding my contract? Do I send in the originals or just hand in photocopies?

(a)According to my experience all Reference Letters/Attestations must be ORIGINAL copies

(b) In this case, it is always good to send Notarized Photocopies.

What should i do here regarding my contract? Do I send in the originals or just hand in photocopies?

Thank you.

I am about to send in my initial forms to the CIO during the coming week. Although I have been with my present employer for the past 10 years, the company where I worked for 3 years prior to that closed down after the owner passed away a couple of years ago. I do have an original letter from him, but would be reluctant to send it to CIC because I might need it again in the future. In this case, would a certified copy do, even if they ask for the original work experience certificates?

Hi sami121,

In case of company shut down, probably you have to specify that in black and white. It will also help you during your Background Verifications. Please ask help from the SENIOR MEMBERS.

Thank you.
