Dear

Is it ok for me to ask my parents to mail me my presc. meds from my home counry say india into canada ? should they put copy of presc in the packet ? HAS anyone tried this ? thx

I have done it with my kids vitamins. I received it with no problem, prescription was kept outside the box for customs to see. I am not sure if it depends to the meds, but for as long as there's a prescription included, it might be okay.

If they are prescription controlled drugs in Canada, it's highly likely that they will be seized by the CBSA in the mail centre. You should seek expert advice directly from the CBSA.

guidelines are clear if prescription drugs imported in person at border upto 90 days supply is allowed assuming prescription is for the traveller. Else Canadian residents are not allowed to import prescription drugs by mail or courier and likely will be confiscated.
