We are 99% ready to send in application! Yay! Just a couple more quirks I need to take care of first, please help!

1. Am I supposed to print the specific information guide (Latin America in our case)? Because it has a different check list for the applicant...?

2 I guess related to #1, should there be a checklist in the "Applicant" envelope as well as the one for "Sponsor"? If just one is ok, where do I put it?

3. Should I make a "Table of contents" for each of our envelopes (3)?

4. I'm afraid our application is not big enough... Just over 100 pages I think. But for the life of me I can't think of anything else to put in..

5. I just want to confirm this one last time! We did not include chat logs because we were told that since we have been living together for almost 2 years, and married last spring, it is not really necessary..?

A million thanks!

1 and 2. Yes, the applicant checklist should he included with the applicant forms/documents and the sponsor checklist should be included with the sponsor forms/documents.

3. Not needed.

4. Why are you afraid that isn't big enough?

5. Chats are not needed. If you are that nervous about it, include a letter stating that you can provide x pages of chats if they want to see them.

Thank you for your answer!

I've read of some people having applications of 300 pages or more! That's why I was getting nervous! But I guess our application is pretty simple (no kids, married etc) so maybe these people had way more complicated issues to deal with in their application...

P.S also still waiting for that darn Option C that CRA is mailing to my address in Canada, because I cannot access their online thing, because of flakiness and bad adulting on my part!

My application was pretty small too! I'm married and I have been living with my wife for 4 years, I thought that the chats and that kind of information was absolutely unnecessary (I think in your case too). I just sent the marriage certificate, some pictures of our wedding and our life and details about our relationship. I'm still in the process, but my wife was approved to sponsor me very quickly.

100 pages sounds just right to me.

300 pages is is fine too, that is if you're sponsoring osama bin laden's uncle.

Do you think it would be an issue? Haha, that application would be red flags galore!

i think you've done just fine. organize your application only well enough so that the guys at CPC-M can find where everything is. once they get their hands on it, they're going to tear it apart and reorganize it the way they want it to be.

and i know i've said this before, but don't forget to take pictures or scans of every single page you're sending in.

Some people have red flags or long distance relationships or whatever else. You never know, so don't compare your app to someone else's.

Oh shoot one last thing!

My husband did his medicals back in March 2016. We were thinking of applying back then but life happened and it got delayed. I know it's not ideal because they are only valid for 1 year.. if our process goes beyond March 2017 (which it probably will), will they ask us to do another medical?

They may request a new medical or extend the current one.
