Dear Members,

I'll be grateful if you can help me with my query.

My parents have got their Supervisa and I invited them as I was better qualified than my brother. I live in Nova Scotia and my brother lives in Ontario.

In the application, I've mentioned that they'll be mostly staying in Nova Scotia and will travel to Ontario to meet friends and family.

Will it be ok with CIC officials if my parents land in Toronto and stay with my brother? without having air tickets to Nova Scotia at the time of landing. We don't want to put an end date (by booking air tickets) to their stay in Ontario as we're not sure right now as to how long they'll stay there.

Thanks

It's fine.

They're your brother's parents too.

Honestly makes more sense to land in Toronto first from an international flight.

If they are actually planning on staying with brother’s family for the majority of the 2 years and you invited them because your brother couldn’t qualify that could lead to problems down the road.

Thanks guys for your replies!

@canuck78 What kind of problems can come up? They'll be in Canada for about 6 months and plan to travel by road to Halifax with my brother and visit cities like Montreal, Quebec & Moncton on their way. They'll stay here for some time and then fly back or travel by road to Toronto and depart from there.
