Hello Guys!!

I would like to know that how OINP is different from getting an ITA from EE?
I mean what are the limitations in opting for an OINP?
I have heard that one has to stay in Ontario for at least 3 years if we have opted for OINP. So is that true? And what other differences prevails?

OINP is a PNP, once nominated you will get an ITA via EE.

Getting direct invite via EE means you are not depending on nomination from any province.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply!!
But if I opt for OINP, then do I have to stay in Ontario for 3 years before migrating to other provinces/country? Can I travel to US from Canada on visitor visa if I have been in Canada via OINP? How long can I stay outside Ontario in case of OINP?

You can live outside Ontario after you have got your OINP, you can travel to the US no problems!!

Thanks

Thanks a lot for the quick reply!!

I asked the same queries to Ontarioimmigration.ca and got below reply:

"In order to be eligible under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) you must intend to work, live and remain in Ontario. Should you leave your current employer or the province during the nomination process and/or while your permanent residence application is in process, your nomination can be denied or withdrawn. Prolonged absences from Ontario may affect your eligibility for the program and/or PR application."

From above reply what I understand is that I won't be getting a PR as soon as I land in Ontario. Is this right?
If yes, then what is the processing time for the PR in case of ONIP?

OINP is just a PNP that helps you to get your ITA if your score is low. They will say you need to intend to live on Ontario after getting the PR and all of that, but really once you get the PR you can go anywhere!!

Hope this helps.

Thanks
