Hi,
I am an OINP applicant and I recently received an additional documents request to show evidence of sufficient funds. They are asking for recent bank statements (5 months) and also evidence to substantiate large monthly bank deposits. However, I am not sure if the second part (justifying large deposits) refers to the deposit on the most recent bank statements that I am going to send them (June-November) or whether they expect me to justify the large deposits on the bank statements that I had sent them originally (August-January) when I applied back in February. This makes a big difference to me, because I have one deposit in January ($2,300) that is just a huge hassle to gather evidence for and explain (basically my brother sent me some money through a friend who was coming to Canada so that I put the money in my account and let him use my credit card while applying to grad schools and paying application fees online--my home country doesn't have a credit card system). Anyway, I wonder if this is among the deposits I need to explain or it's fine if I just focus on the deposits on my recent bank statements. I would really appreciate any insight you could share. Also, how large of a deposit is considered "large"?
Thanks!
