My situation is as following: I am currently a full-time worker in Ontario on a valid work permit. My contract is 6 months. I have already worked for around 3.5 months. Am I eligible for OHIP to cover the rest of my employment duration?
Yes. Exactly 6 months. It's a contract-based position, not permanent. My concern is that on Service Ontario website, it says you need to provide an employment letter stating the employer intends to hire you for a minimum of 6 months. But I don't know whether it means the total length of the employment should be at least 6 months, or that the remaining length of employment should be at least 6 months since the application date.
