Since getting married I have not worked for over two years just been spending my savings that paid for my wedding and been living with my wife
Is this bad news? will they fail my application because I have not worked for a long period of time.

As long as your wife is not on welfare/financial assistance, she can still sponsor you for immigration.

Is it Good or bad - You are best Judge for yourself. IO will certainly look how you and your wife are managing financially while you are un employed. It depends on how IO forms an opinion. If IO forms an opinion that your family can become a financial burden by going on welfare then it may affect your application.

Others may have more informed opinions.

I think it will also depend on how much of those savings are left. If there are chances of welfare support in the future -especially near future- then that may put a dumper or your application. But then again a sudden job just before application is not the best thing either. Quite the catch 22 situation ::). All the best whatever you do.

Don't worry. You have a chance to explain your intended occupation. You can also write a short letter if you feel the need but if you have legal visitor status + no job = CIC will do the math.

If you have been staying in Canada for last 2 years and do not have work permit explains the reason for not working. Your wife is employed and making decent money. I think You could apply for an Open Work Permit. You will be okay. Ease now. Take Care.

He can only applied for an open work permit if they file Inland.

It's really not a big deal OP. Many people wait out their sponsorship in Canada without the ability to work. People also sponsor a stay at home mom or dad too and that's not a problem.

It's one thing after another Raj

So stressful I can't work in Canada as I'm a visitor and I hope they won't look upon this as bad

Should I add a letter on my job intentions and if need be go
Study to better myself

It will take anywhere between 6 and 12 months before your application is finalized. You can go back to Canada (you can not work) or stay in England ( You are in England, right? - you can work ). How do you want to support yourself is your personal decision. If this comes as a question during interview (if there is one), you should be prepared with your answer.
