Hi,
I have been admitted in Masters Program at a Canadian University. The University dispatched the letters using the unregistered mail service. It has been more than 2 months and I have not yet received the letters.

I informed the University regarding this and they sent me the scanned copies of acceptance letter from the university, acceptance letter from the Department, and the funding letter. They told me to start visa and study permit application with these scanned copies. I am an Indian Citizen and will be applying at the Canadian Embassy at New Delhi.

Is it okay to apply for the study permit and visa using the scanned copies and not the original letters??

Thanks,

You must have to submit the hardcopy of your acceptance and funding as per the instruction of CHC and you must have to submit 1 photocopies of these docs. I'd the same situation and I told the university that I'd to apply within weeks and my local embassy require the hardcopy and I'm ready to pay the express mail cost and then they sent me it through FedEx extreamly emergency which came by my hand in only 5 days ! ! ! and they didn't even ask for the charges, Just sent them conecutive mails in 4/5 different university's departments ( Register, mailing service , Department, professors) and write down that your local embassy ask for the hardcopy right now, they will must send it right then :-) , Sometimes pressure works
