To all my dear friends......!

I am on tourist visa in canada. yesterday one restaurant owner(Known to my friend) asked me to do my work permit. he offered me a job of kitchen helper and coal operator for his kitchen. when i asked about the LMO and all paper work, he said he dont need to apply for my LMO because of the given below 2 reasons:

1) As i am already present in the canada and know him.
2) He will explain to the government that he needs the man urgently and will not find anybody so soon for the small work like coal operator.

and he also told me to offer two years work permit and the good thing is he is not charging anything from me he is just doing it in relationship.

Now my concern is: that would it be possible and true whatever is saying???
is the things can be done the way he is saying???

Please help me out....!!!

Unfortunately this is not possible as you have a tourist visa and not a work visa. The work visa is issued with the work permit. The employer must apply for an LMIA as this only way he can get approval.

Impossible without an LMIA. It makes no difference that you are already in Canada or that your are required urgently. You won't get work permit without an approved LMIA.

Work permit is not in employer's hands. Employer needs to follow immigration policy. He can not get a work permit without an LMIA. Since you are on a tourist visa, you may need to go back to your country and apply from there.

It is impossible to get a work permit without an LMIA. Yes there are some occupations which are LMIA exempted but for sure not the restaurant jobs. Ask him to clearly explain how is he gonna do it, if you are not paying him anything you got nothing to lose
