Hi,

I already have a MyCIC account created, and I'm in the process of filling out form 5710 for my off campus work visa. It asks me for my EVN number but I have no idea how or where to get that number. Can somebody please help.

Thanks

Your University/college provides you with a EVN

Hi, applying for an off-campus work permit is a two-step process. First you need to apply for EVN through your MyCiC account. You should be able to see a link that is named smth like request EVN. Once you answer the questions there and submit your request, you will receive within a couple days your EVN, it will be sent to your MyCiC account. Then you will apply for Off-Campus work permit. Good luck!

I applied for my study permit and work permit last ? Thursday ( 3 days back). I checked My CIC account and there was a new set of questions to be answered for a request for EVN . I proceeded with the questionnaire, however, since i do not have 6 months of full time study within the past 12 months in Canada the questionnaire gave me an option to exit. Ignoring the options i continued with questionnaire however, the questions did not pertain to me as they asked of the institution where i have completed 6 months or more of full time study.

Reading up on cic.gc.ca website it mandates that a student applying for a work permit to fill out the questionnaire withing the next 14 days.

what do i do??
