OFF CAMPUS WORK PERMIT

I want to know that my OCWP is about expire on 31st December 2012, I am going to start my job on 1st January 2013. I have applied for the extension of OCWP and my study will complete on 14th December, Can I work on which status and how can i convince my employer that I have valid reason to work. Please answer me and if there is anything written CIC website about this please send me link.

I know that you can work full time on OCWP, while waiting for PGWP. But in your case that does not apply because your OCWP is about to expire. I would suggest call CIC. There is no other way you can work. If your employer is ready, you may start working on voluntary basis and your official job will start once you will have your PGWP, in this way you may save your job.
