OCWP Application, Transaction Not Approved

I completed the requirements for OCWP application, now when i try to pay online, it says Transaction Not Approved.

What can be the reasons? I tried changing the name, address, nothing happens.

My credit card is activated and has not reached the limit yet.
 
Your billing address MUST be the same as the one that is tagged to the card through your bank.

If you use a Canadian bank, check if they have a 24hr phone service, call and ask.

I've had issues with my card as the change of address when I moved just applied to my account but didn't get applied to my card so whenever I used it on line it was being denied.
 
this is weird, i tried my previous and current address, both not working.

using capitalone.
 
If they have a 24hr service, call them. You really want to get your OCWP application in asap as it is first come first serve. Everyone who started in september or befor who didn't have an ocwp are applying now to make sure they can work after june 1st changes.

after june 1st changes? is there going to be change in the OCWP issued before june 1 and after?

i know there were rumors like all students will have work permit starting from june 1, that's it. any other critical info?
 
i called capitalone, and in their records, they saw that i have tried to pay CIC with the amount, but no charge has been done since i received the error "Transaction not approved"
 
You have to ask capitalone why the transaction was not approved.

they don't know. they said the card is active, there is nothing stopping the card from being used. i actually used this card 2 days ago, no problem.

i will contact cic tomorrow.

I've only had the email with the approval. I'm waiting for the letter so I can get my SIN. But I have accepted a few project jobs for later in the summer, that I look forward to.
 
Now yo uhave to wait for the actual OCWP turning up in the mail and then you can go to the nearest service canada office to get a sin. As of april 1st, they won't issue sin cards anymore. Just the number.
