After going through many archived posts, I believe I should use my local sheriff's office to get my fingerprints for USA PCC. Has anyone did this? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Depends, not all police services will do it, but the FBI will accept it. If your police station will not do it, you can use a service like Commissaires.
