Hi,

This is Nafisa from Kolkata, India. My fiancé is in Canada on a study permit right now. We shall get married in Aug, 2016. I then wish to apply for an open work permit for myself in the month of October to visit most probably in early 2017. The concern is I haven't completed my Bachelor's yet. I am pursuing B.tech and I shall give my final year exams in June 2017. Does this make me ineligible? Also, I don't have any work experience as such as I am still studying and will not be able to secure any job in Canada during this period. However I have teaching experience in a coaching institute as part time for 1.5 yrs.

Please let me know if I am eligible to apply and if yes, will my application stand strong?

See the link above for the list of persons who can apply for amy open work permit. Based on the information you've provided, you do not qualify for anow open work permit. If you would like to visit your fiance you should apply for a visitor's visa.

I have a closed work permit and my spouse have a open Work permit (received as she accompanied me), these both WP are going to expire on 2017. My job with the employer is going to end this august. Can I apply for Open work permit on behalf of my spouse's Open WP
