Obtaining a NICOP (Pakistan) in Ontario

Hi,
I am a resident of Kitchener, Ontario. My Pakistani passport is about to expire, and I have been told that I need to get a NICOP made before I can get my passport renewed.

Has anyone done this recently? If yes, can you please tell me exactly what steps to follow? Specifically:
1) Can it be done by mail, or do I need to go to the Pakistan Consulate in Toronto in person?
2) Which documents are needed?
3) How long is the entire process?

I have done some preliminary research online but things aren't clearly stated anywhere and I am confused!

I know few friends, who been there in person for nicop as they require finger print, photo snapshot, and data entry online at nadra system. moreover, u can track ur nicop status after applying through token number . however, good idea to call them if they require any other document

Yes recently I have been very organized way they handle the matter you can go to the
website and check all the papers you need print the form , collect all documents and
than visit the place I suggest that you go early morning in working days than you will be
done within 1-2 hours at maximum.
