I know its all part of the process, but waiting for updates drives us nuts. It's all we can do but try and keep from checking my hubby's status!

I guess we're not alone, so frustrating! :o

Sign up for Ecas tracker that way you'll get an email notification when something on ecas changes. Saves you logging into ecas all the time. This way you can obsessively check your email :)

Haha KelKel...that's how I broke my habit, too...was harder than quitting smoking ;)

Hahahahaha... yes now I'm just addicited to my iphone. If it's not one thing it's another :)

LOL. I LOVE MY iPHONE!! And yes, Matthew's eCAS tracker is a God-send. It will let you relax, and then you'll only be checking your email obsessively for notifications of eCAS tracker updates!! ;) But that's a lot easier than having to log in to CIC all the time!

It would be good if your ECAS would actually change. From the looks of it many people's never actually update. A guy from my work sent his payment of fees end of November and hasn't seen the PPR yet. I think 3 weeks of Christmas holidays really slowed things down. I think we'll all be hearing something soon!

Robsluv I don't know how I lived without it, seriously I cant put it down :)

I know, it's like a whole new connection to the world - literally almost like having your computer in your hands. I keep looking for more aps and more things it can do. And what I really love: I can read my text messages without my glasses!! It was such a pain, on my old phone, to have to go find my glasses (which I only need for reading) everytime one of the kids sent me a message. But I can change the font on the iPhone to be able to read them!! And the camera is great, too. We were able to get a good deal on it through our business, so I got an iPhone4. Got our son a 3GS for Christmas. He's a "Mac" kid, but at his age I figured all I was willing to spend to buy him an iPhone was the $50. When he turns 18 he can spend whatever and get himself an iPhone9 (or whatever they have by then)! But aside from the camera resolution and Facetime, his does all the same stuff mine does. So he's very happy.

My old phone had a bad battery and I couldn't even talk on it or it would die. Everybody was embarrassed for me :). I used to bug my bf for not putting his down now its me!

I agree, we paid and sent our receipts for landing fees on Nov 30, no update, and no PPR. So frustrating.

Thanks for the tip about the tracker people! Better than logging on to the CIC website.

Good luck everyone!

I also tried eCas all the time, but it said that my file has not yet been created. So for me it was an obsession too (I don't want to sign up for the tracker, I have an (un)healthy fear for leaving such private details on someone's server that I don't know).

I went to visit my family back in Europe, coming back the IO at the airport told me that Vegreville receive my envelope. eCas still doesn't give anything, but just by knowing it's been received, I don't feel like checking all the time anymore. If you're not planning to cross the border any time soon, you might just want to call CIC Hotline or request your FOSS or CAIPS notes.
