oath to e-cert timeline

Dear all!

For those of you receiving the citizenship e-cert, can you please share your timeline between taking the oath and receiving e-cert on the portal?

I have been checking the portal fanatically and losing sleep and on a brink of a nervous breakdown.. would appreciate some insights and to know any helpful tips (such as during what hours the portal updates so I don't check every 30 minutes)!

Is the portal something different ? Who sends it ? I have my virtual oath today and no instruction on the e-certificate

Typically, it should take between 2 and 4 business days after you return the signed oath form to the inviting office, as per the instructions on the Oath Ceremony invitation. I know of people who received their e-certificate on the same day as the oath; they sent the signed oath form right after the ceremony, which was a virtual ceremony in June 2025.

Thanks did my oath today and signed and mailed them the document immediately with the officers name

I was told in the ceremony that it can take up to 5 business days after you send in the oath form.

Not sure if it’s standard procedure but my agent did send me a confirmation of receiving the signed oath form and that my file is now closed

Still anxious as no instructions to the e certificate yet
