I was approved for O-1 visa in US, need to travel, so I scheduled appointment in US consulate in Canada. Applied for Canadian visa online on April 28th, and since then no updates. I check every day. I missed my original appointment, had to reschedule. Notified CIC by email about my current appointment date (July 28th). Do they even care that I have to be there?
Is there anyone to talk to about my application?

When I check processing times, do I look for "Applications submitted inside Canada"? Since the online times are listed under that? Or do I look for "Outside Canada"?

Thank you

No - Canada doesn't really care that you have to be there for an interview.

The outside of Canada processing times would apply to you. However you shouldn't expect that normal processing times will apply to you since you are applying outside of your country of permanent residency / citizenship. This almost always takes longer - sometimes substantially longer.

There's really nothing you can do but wait and hope for an approval.

Thank you! This whole process has changed dramatically. Last time I applied for Canadian visa was in 2011, and it took me 2 weeks. I sent my papers to a courier in Washington, and it was all easy and without any problems. Now it's just a "little bit" harder...

Would you happen to know which office's processing time I should look at? I applied online while in the US. Thank you!!!

41 days if your application is being processed at NYC. The only other office is in LA and I suspect they have similar time line.

Great! Thank you! Now I have applied on April 28, and obviously 41 days have passed. Would you happen to know where I can email to see what's happening?

...Unless it's 41 business days?

My application was also submitted online on April 28. My visa was stamped on May 25.

You can send them an email, but I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting to hear from them. All you can do is patiently wait.
