How are the number of days present in Canada counted? Do they ask for documentation to prove you were in Canada? Please advise.

Yes they can ask for the documents as well plus they can check it with your passport for your entry and exit dates for Canada.

Cheers

I was confused because when I left Canada after landing they did not put a exit stamp on my passport.

@bavarian - For sure they will put the exit stamp when you enter home country. In my case they stamped the entry date in India when I came back from canada.

@saki - I have submitted my full application recently by claiming 1year Canadian experience points i.e. 5 points. I lived in canada from april 26th 2008 to april 21st 2009.
Will that count as 1 year, because I got 70 points with this 1 year canadian experience. If they dont count then I will be 2 points short.

If they count 1 year Canadian experience then what documents should I need to produce for proof of 1 year work?

- All passport pages which has my canada entry date and when coming back India entry date, includes my Canada Work Visa.
- Provided 1 year work permit.
- Provided my notice of assessment from canada revenue agency for only 2008. (could not get it for Jan to April 2009 as my employer is in process of filing)
- Last, I have provided my General Insurance for last few months. i.e. Jan to March.

I have submitted below, please check and let me know if you have any suggestions. Other seniors, appreciate you're feedback too.
