on the application for sponsorship and undertaking number 8 a) asks for marital status, i wrote the date we got married, but after it asks the date of when our relationship started, do I fill that part out too? or is that just for people applying for common-law? thanks!

Gary

yes, if you know when you started dating your spouse, you should fill that out. married or not, you still need to prove that your marriage is genuine.

Question 8 a) asks for your marital status.
The part that asks 'date relationship started' is just for those who checked 'common-law.' There is an arrow from 'common-law' to 'date relationship started', so if you're married you only need to fill out 'date of marriage'.

hmm, now im confused, i got 2 different responses...? ???

For 8a), after you "ticked" married, you can follow the arrow and fill in your date of marriage. You can disregard the other empty boxes and proceed to 9. Date relationship started is for common-laws (which is not applicable to you).
