Can anybody please tell me what is means by NSO Advisory on Marriages ? And how long it would take to get it in NSO? pls need ur advice thank you...

I believe that it's an original marriage certificate. NSO = National Statistics Office

Advisory on marriage is a document you need to obtain from NSO stating that you are legally married to your husband/wife. I think if you request it from NSO, you can get it the same day. For some, they request it online or thru customer service kiosk of SM Malls, and it will take 2 weeks before you can have it.

AOM is the opposite of CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage). If you will apply for it from NSO, ask for CENOMAR and if they find in the records that you are married, you will be given an AOM =)

Yes u can request for a CERNOMAR. Once you are legally married and there is a record in NSO of ur marriage they will not give u a certificate of singleness instead they will give the details of marriage, which is the advisory of marriage.

Little worried now, becuase we did not submit AOM becuase it was taking so long for the record to get in the system. I started reading and re-reading the guides to see if I could find a loophole.

And what I found in the Philippines guide #8

IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS
1) For the Philippines
The following original documents are required for you (principal applicant, regardless of age) and
for each of your dependent children, if applicable:
• Birth Certificate
• Marriage Certificate
• Death Certificate
• No record of marriage (CENOMAR) or Advisory on marriages
These documents must be issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO paper.

If ...
a birth, marriage or death occurred in another
country and is not registered with NSO,

Then ...
provide the original certificate issued
abroad.

Now reading the above, since we were married in the Republic of Seychelles, and I provided our original marriage certificate, and the application to register our marriage with NSO, that should be enough....right?

I hope they don't send back again....I already had app returned once, another time will kill me!

Please advise any thoughts

Thanks
