Hi all.
Hopefully someone could help me out.
So I am not a PR, but have lived in Canada for over 2 1/2 years, and have an application for residency in progress. I have previously filed 2 tax returns, but this past year I open a savings account at the bank, CIBC and have received an NR4 form stating the gross income I received from the interest. I have always been told that for tax purposes I am classed as a resident even without PR, is this correct? And if so should I have not received this NR4 form, as it is for Non-Residents. I will be filing my taxes through turbo tax, but not sure how/where or even if I need to input the amount from this NR4 form.
Thank you in advance
