November Applications Thread

The Case Processing Center in Alberta received our application yesterday (November 3rd) My husband and I have been checking processing times for months, and it varries from 31 - 49 days ... But that was last updated September 27th. I just checked today and it says 'Updated November 1st - 8-9 Months wait'! !!!

Is this for real? I have a feeling

a) MANY people have submitted in October?
b) I've been looking at the wrong place for application times (CIC 's website)
c) I'm looking at the wrong place now...

We did the In Canada Application, because though he is from New Zealand he has been here on a visitors visa (keeps extending it) with me for the past 18 months ... And maybe before I was looking at the 'outside canada' application times?

Stressed. His Visa runs out November 22nd, I don't know what to get him to do. Go home, stay here? confused.

Sorry I am not able to give you any advice on processing times but they seem to have scared a lot of us...although I think they are just trying to limit the phone calls to the offices.
