My fiancee is going to apply for OP and PR in May when her 2 year live in caregiver program is done. We plan on waiting for her OP and then getting married. When/how do we inform the CIC of a status change? I assume that we have to get married first then show them documents like a marriage certificate.

1. Unless you are living common/law, IRCC doesn't have to be informed until you are married.

1. You have to add your spouse to the application. You will have to amend your application, she will have to complete the forms i.e. IMM 5406 etc. The list is www.cic.gc.ca Proof of the marriage, Criminal Records Checks, Medical.

I should have made myself more clear. I am a canadian citizen, I was born here. She is Filipino and applying for her PR. So when we get married, she will have to fill out all of the forms again? this will hold up the process no?
