hello every one
i want to know that notes of assessment and income tax retun are same or not?

Income Tax return is the forms you file to the government to tell them how much income you've had, how much taxes you have paid, CPP, EI etc.

The Notice of Assessment is the form that the Canada Revenue Agency sends to all taxpayers after processing their returns, that states the amount of taxes to be paid or refunded.

If the Canada Revenue Agency has made any corrections to your income tax form or GST/HST rebate application, the Notice of Assessment explains what changes have been made.

If you disagree with the Notice of Assessment you have received, the first thing to do is to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

If you still disagree after discussing the matter with the CRA, you can make a formal objection, as long as you do it within ninety days of the date of the Notice of Assessment.

ok got it so Canadian tax deparment only give notes of Assessment after filing tax or they give both forms after filing tax?

Income tax return form is the one you fill up with all your info and send the CRA. It can be found through the CRA website and you can print it on your own or paper forms can be found on post offices before the tax season begins. Also you can buy tax softwares and fill up the tax return form from there and file electronically.

Once the CRA has recieved the incom tax return form from you, they will now assess it to check if the information you have filed was correct, then they will send you the Notice of assessment. Notice of assessment is NOT a form is is a letter.

CIC wants to see your Option C not the notice of assessment. You can get an Option C by phoning CRA

Yes i know that CIC want option C but i am asking about that family who will financially support us open arriaval in Cananda they as me on my immigration form ( Will any of your family members in Canada provide financial support to you and your sponsor u pon arrival in Canada? If so, please provide a written declaration from this family member including the d etails of his or her financial support as well as proof of this family member’s annual income)
so what documents should i show from her family?
there Income tax return or notes of assesament?

They can also ask for a option C print out of their latest tax year from the CIC and can use it to show annual income. Do not send Income tax return because that is a FORM! (Not validated). If you want you can send both option C and Notice of assessment. If you ask me they are basically the same, I have honestly had both to use when my husband sponsored me. You can also include Bank statement from this family member together with notice of assessment or option C to show that they have money. It's that simple.

that faimly sent me notes of assessment so it will be enough? for financial proof?
