Hello everyone...

After passing the IELTS , now it's time to collect all documents to have a solid application :D

I have many documents that need to be notarized. However, I'm a Saudi and live in Saudi Arabia and I'd like to know where I can get them notarized? ... have any of you guys had a solution for that? ( besides through your countries' embassies in Saudi Arabia).

As a second option, Can I get them notarized in Dubai for example? ( I read somewhere that there approved attestation offices there).... if yes, would you recommend anyone?



Here's another question that has nothing to do with the previous ones:

In the application form, there's a section where the applicant has to write down his/her travel history during the last 10 years. What if I'm a frequent traveller to a certain country ( in my case, Bahrain)? because in last 10 years, I've been there for more than 50 times!!! ( not to mention other countries) .... .so do I have to mention them all? :o ....... (P.S: since 2007, they no longer stamp on my passport if I drive from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain using the causeway).

Being your documents are in arabic language you need to get it translated to either English or French - according to what language you choose for application.

If you visit any of the Translation Office in Saudi Arabia they will guide you accordingly.

You can do in the same manner ( translation and attestation ) in Dubai or in Bahrain from a Licensed attestation office.

As per rules you have to list all the foreign travel during the past 10 years or from the age of 18.
Because of your frequent travel to Bahrain, which are not stamped in your passport at the entry or exit point, you can just list the recent date and country and then make a note that you were frequently traveling to Bahrain for what purpose (ex: business, visit relatives or friends or what ever may be in brief ). Also mention that you have not kept any record for the exact dates of every trip except those are stamped on passport (if any). Hope you understand.

However, most of my documents are actually in English except my national ID and birth certificate...so translation is not a big deal..at least not for now!.

I'm still wondering if I could do the attestation in Saudi Arabia (after all, better than Dubai)...which brings 2 questions to my mind now:

1- Have any of you guys tried to approach the Canadian embassy in your country to notarize documents?

2- If a copy of a certain document is notarized by the same institution/organisation which has issued the same document in the first place, would that be acceptable?
