Notarized/certified photocopy or just a photocopy?

Hi
I'm in the process of filing my spousal sponsor application as I got married last month.

In the document checklist in the "supporting documents" section, it asks for photocopy of passport or citizenship certificate. Does this (or any of my certificates) need to be notarized or certified true copy?

Also, do any of my wife's certificates need to be notarized or a certified true copy?

All the certificates my wife and I are going to provide are in English.

Unless specifically asked for in "your" regional guide, no. We sent in only photocopies, and originals (when specified). We neither notarized nor certified true anything that we submitted.

In general (unless specifically instructed in country-specific guide) you only need to get photocopies "certified true" when they are in a foreign language so are being translated to english.
