A bit more information on your situation would help you get the advice you are looking for. You are sponsor/applicant? Married, common law, or conjugal? From where? Inland/outland? Unemployed or on maternity leave from a job? Thanks

So you want to sponsor someone and your asking if being on maternity leave will effect the sponsorship? If that is what your asking it will have no effect you can still sponsor

If you are going back to that same job when your maternity leave is over, include the job letter. If you don't have one and can't get one for some reason, though, the record of employment would be good enough.
