Hi there,

I studied in Canada for two semester as an international student. After my two semester I decided to start a programm in Canada in Fall. I git an extended Student Visa (from May this Year until 2018) and stayed on this Visa in the country. However, my situation changed and I am not able to go back to school in Canada in Fall anymore but I am still on the student Visa and stayed in Canada during the summer with this visa (with the idea to go back to school though).
My flight back to my home country is in the beginning of October.

Do I need a Visitor visor for one month since I am not eligable for the student Visa anymore?
Can this get me into problems for re-entering Canada?

Thank you very much!

If your student visa is valid then you don't need a visitor visa.

1. The OP has dropped out of school for more than 3 months, so the DLI has probably reported that fact to IRCC and the SA will/should be cancelled.
2. The SA is not a substitute for a TRV, if the OP is from a non visa exempt country s/he requires a TRV to return to Canada.
3. Should be contact the local visa office, probably will require a new SA

1. I was here during the summer, so no regular classes.
2. What is SA and how do I find out if I am from a visa exempt country?
3. Thank you thats a great idea!
