Hello All,

My study permit application has been approved, but I wish to defer my admission to next term or probably summer due to personal reasons. I wanted to know if I need to notify CIC regarding this. Moreover, if I dont go for canada after receiving the permit, will it have any implications to get study permit elsewhere (I am considering to apply to other countries by next terms).

I would really appreciate your valuable inputs.

Regards

No, if you don't go, it won't have any ramifications. Note the validity date of letter of introduction, you have to arrive before it expires. You know that probably in January, CIC and CBSA will taking a close look at students to ensure that they are actually studying and making progress in their studies. So be forewarned

Thanks a lot for reply. I'm going for study only so the changes which will take place from January won't be an issue.

So, I may enter Canada for study by validity date right?

its not an issue...whenever u enter....its just that u must enter when ur visa is valid...

Thanks so I can enter Canada by given time but may require extension of permit in course can't complete in time.

Moreover although this question may differ from what I asked, I wanted to know how's job prospects in mechanical industry in Canada. Is it good or bad compared to India.
