Our FSW application asks for medicals with my spouse.

But she doesn't want to leave her parents, and not want to immigrate.

What happens only me sends the medicals and later applies for the perm visa?

Will it slow down the process? Is it possible her to apply at a later time?

Or is it better to get her the perm visa right now but her not land till she decides?

Even if she is non-accompanying, she must still pass the medical. If she fails to do the medical, your application will be refused as well.

Better to apply pr together. She can land later and get pr card. She should be in Canada 2 out of 5 years to retain pr.

Hi ,
I have a query.
Is it mandatory that spouse needs to accompany the primary applicant at the time of first entry to canada?
If spouse joins later will she get a PR card? Will this have any impact on the primary applicant for getting the PR card?

No NOt necsassary spouse can land any time within pp visa expiry dates and must be either along with or later than principal applicant.
rest your plan is ok, without any negative impact anyhow resident formalities have to be completed individually from the date of ones own landing dates.

I'm planning to land with my husband (I'm PA) and than go back home and return with children just a little shorter than a year from MR.
I cant stay longer than two weeks after landing and won't have enough time to wait for PR card. My husband could mail it to me when he receives it but I'm afraid that it could be lost somwhere in transit. Is it mandatory to have a PR card when entering Canada after landing or I can show some other document?
Is this plan OK, should I expect any problems for bringing kids later?

Your children must land before the expiry of their PR visa - otherwise you will need to sponsor them from scratch.

Assuming you hold a non-visa exempt passport, you will need either a PR card or a travel document to return to Canada.

Dear,
1. Travelling plans are OK, as far as Principal Applicant lands first of all. All other family members need to either accompany the PA or land at their own but after PA and before the visa expires.

2. Gettin PR through mail is bit trikky and some seniors say it is illegal, although many people doing. So choice is yours, either take a chance or stay for bit longer in canada to get PR yourself.

Good luck

Dear,
There are no options, rather a single process - You have to get medical for your spouse and kids - whether they immigrate with you or no. Else your application will be rejected at the moment.

2nd - do not fill in that your spouse will not accompany you. this choice you ppl always have, even after getting PR Visa. You will have 12 months from medical date to decide.
