I am eligible for Express Entry and had a question prior to applying for the same. Back in 2004, when I was a student in Texas, I had a misdemeanor case (resisting arrest) for which the court ordered deferring adjudication of guilt and granted probation for a period of 9 months (non-jury). The probation ended on 05/19/2005. Since it has been over 13 years, would this be a cause for concern as far as applying for Express Entry is concerned?

Thanks,
Kay

If it will appear in your Police Certificate then it might cause a problem, else it will not.

Thanks. So, under these circumstances where it might/might not show up on the PCC, is it prudent to have an immigration lawyer?

Thanks,
Kay
I would say, yes.
