I have been following the forum for quite some time now and would like to thank for all those contributed to the forum so as to educate others. This is my first posting. It is known that applications after Feb 27, 2008 have not been yet processed pending the announcement of the new criteria. But, there is a talk of about 38 occupations. In the link http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC-CNP/app/occupation_index.aspx?lc=e one can see that there are 10 occupational descriptions with major groups of 97. Under these groups there are sub-groups of 140 (e.g., 001 legislators and senior management, etc). The total NOC coded (four digit) classifications are almost 537. Are these “38 lists of occupations to be released” from the 537 NOC (this amounts to about 7% of the total NOC) or from the sub-groups of 140? Will these “38 occupations” describe the FSW program?
