Hi guys,

I was working as a postdoc in physics and applied at February 2013 (got AOR at April).

I applied as a "programmer" and used NOC code 2174, since in my work permit it was written that I am programmer.

I put some information about software development in my job letter, but it is more about physics research which is not related to NOC 2174 requirement.

Right now I am thinking about two possible choices:

- email to Ottawa new detailed reference letter which will be concentrated my programming experience. However, I am not sure if they attach new more detailed job letter to already submitted applications.

- just cancel current application and reapply in order to avoid possible rejection. May be, re-applying after rejection has less chances for positive result (compare to applying from the beginning).

What do you think is better ?

if u applied after 9th Nov they will probably ask you if they found that NOC and job letter is not matching. If u applied before just wait for your first set of GCMS notes if they have any doubt send an updated letter, many people from this forum did the same and got the PR

They dont care how many times u apply, every time ur application will be processed from scratched. Many people i know got rejected becoz of NOC and job duties error but they applied second time they got their PR. But, If they would have send updated letters after looking at GCMS notes they would have got the PR on a very first run..Good luck my friend
What do you think is better ?

Thanks for help!
For how long does it take to get GCMS?
Ma application can be considered soon, and may be it makes sense to send updated letter before getting GCMS ?

How about going to the link below my signature. You will find all the information regarding GCMS there..Yes it make sense if you are sure
that your new letter will be much better..Send ur letter..and apply for ur GCMS to see if letter has been added to your file

Thanks... You have very useful information, it is very helpful !

However... It looks like I cannot apply for GCMS, since I am not living in Canada anymore...

You can apply here is the link
http://www.lawpoint.ca/index.php/Order-CAIPS-online-in-2-easy-steps.html
But I dont think going through all this process is worth unless its free . Just send updated reference letters.. Also if you have a frn or relative in canada they can apply for GCMS on ur behalf for 5$....but you have to check the rules..I am not aware of whole process

Thank you for very useful advises!
