Hi all,

I was hoping to get some advice on what NOC code I can use given the job duties listed in my letter. This letter is from a management consulting job, so I was planning to use NOC code 1122. But it doesn't seem like the duties match a lot, so I'm worried that it won't be considered valid even though from a job title perspective it's the right NOC code. This will be for applying for CEC and I require this work experience for me 1 year minimum.

These are the duties listed in my letter:
  • Be a contributing member of an engagement team, assisting in the execution of all project deliverables.
  • Interview clients to understand business requirements.
  • Gather, review, validate, and document functional requirements of clients.
  • Identify key issues, conduct relevant financial and qualitative analysis, interpret results, and report key findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of draft reports and support with presentations for clients.
  • Research new regulatory developments, target clients and/or possible new product offerings.
To me those job duties do fit what an entry-level management consultant does, but since they don't match the NOC code I'm slightly concerned. Not sure if anyone knows of a better NOC code I could use? For reference this is what the NOC 1122 duties are:
  • Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of a public or private sector establishment
  • Conduct research to determine efficiency and effectiveness of managerial policies and programs
  • Conduct assessments and propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures in areas such as operations, human resources, records management and communications
  • Conduct quality audits and develop quality management and quality assurance standards for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) registration
  • Provide guidance and support to businesses on regulatory policies and procedures; ensure internal compliance with regulatory requirements; and prepare submissions and filings with regulatory bodies
  • Plan the reorganization of the operations of an establishment
  • May supervise contracted researchers or clerical staff.
Thanks in advance for any advice!!
