I am going to ask to my employer for reference letter but before that i need to confirm my NOC and duties. I have bit confusion regarding my NOC, Can anyone please help me with this.
Job Title : Network Technician
Employment : Contract
Job Duties ( Copy and pasted from Offer letter ) : Network Data Technician with a proven track record in: Racking and stacking of network devices Cable patching between customer's desk and the network Installing power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet Completing all hard and complex Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests Providing hardware break-fix services for the network infrastructure Physical layer troubleshooting Experience and Education: 5+ years of experience in data communications Must have a basic knowledge of Cisco switches and routers Have basic knowledge in IP Telephony Must have a basic knowledge of LAN/WAN Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers. Requires experience in working in a communications closets Must be able to perform rack and stack activities Must be able to safely lift heavy objects Must understand cable patching processes and procedures Must have a basic knowledge of data communications networking. Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues & understand network terminology. Must be willing to work shift work which includes nights and weekends.
