Hello everyone,

Thanks for reading this. I was wondering if someone can help me in this situation.

I graduated in April 2013 and then I got a part-time job in June 2013 based on my education ($12/hour pay) which I continued until December 2013 (560 hours worked). It was basically a project based position, there wasn't a real job title. I put in my resume as Project Assistant. The job responsibilities of this position do not match with any of the NOC codes. Below is what I have put in my resume:

- Collected information from municipal staff on processes to purchase a property to relocate an existing educational institution
- Consulted with real estate agents and leasing manager(s) to gather leasing information of various properties
- Organized and managed the project from beginning to end independently
- Drafted a report, prepared a presentation and delivered to Board of Directors.

Is there any way to have this experience verified from somewhere, and then I look into the NOC website to see if I can find some code related to this experience?

Then I got a full-time position in January 2014, related to my studies, in a different company, where I am still working. It's a 40 hours/week job (1240 hours until now). I can find a NOC code that relates to this position. So my question is, should I wait and earn my one year experience at this full-time position, and then apply for CEC? Or should I use my part-time experience, plus full-time experience? The requirement for CEC is one year full time experience or equivalent part time (my total hours from both jobs turn out to be 1800.

With my full time job, I will be eligible next year in January, and by then Express Entry will be in place (God knows what happen then lol).

I thank you for reading this and providing any valuable information.

You really haven't given us enough to go on - you refer to your education but don't say what your degree is in. You evidently worked for some kind of school or school board. You called yourself a project assistant, who were you assisting, what was their job title? You organized and managed "the project" but you would need to describe the project to help the VO (and us) understand what you were doing...

Best guess with what you've provided - administrative assistant or administrative officer - both are "skilled" but on the list of excluded occupations, unfortunately.

What province are you in? With your current job, you could be eligible NOW under the PNP program, or even the Federal Skilled Workers program...
