NOC category for testers (Test Analyst)

Hi All,

I work as Test analyst with 6 years experience in manual/automation testing. Can someone please advise under what category software testing falls into? Is it 2171 or 2173?

Both the positions are for developer not testers. Its not wise to waste time and money by submitting application with irrelevant work ex. Many applications has been rejected in past due to this.

But I do see the job title listed down there. Not sure why they would list it down there if they are going to reject it.

Under 2171 : it appears as QA and Under 2173 : as Test Engineer

Try 2173.

If you are full pledged qa, then 2283 is the NOC for you.

2283 is not included in FSW 2014 NOC list....do you think I can try under 2173?

BTW where did you get the NOC 2014 list? Can you share the link? I thought the NOC 2011 was the latest.
