NOC 7241, do I need a license to work in this job in Ontario?

Hello,

I work as a Junior automation Technician. This is the NOC code my employer is giving me. I know for a fact that NOC 7242 Is not a compulsory trades in Ontario. Meaning you don't need a trades certificate to legally work in this job.

However with NOC 7241, it is not clear. When I look at IRCC website, it says Electrician controls is the only one that doesn't require a certificate and rest other job titles under this NOC require one.

When I submit my reference letter for Express entry, or if I get picked for OINP. will there be an issue where they question how I got this experience without a certificate?

How is your application going? I am also a Jr Automation technician and wondering to ask whether its is possible to apply to any 7241 or 7242 NOC code?
