Hello,

We have sent our application first on April 3rd 2010 and the same was received at the Central Intake Office, Sydney, Nova Scotia on April 7th 2010, well before the new rules about the IELTS came into force (that came into force from April 10, 2010). Subsequently we got an email from the FSW Central Intake Office on June 18th confirming the receipt of the same with the File Number and was assigned a deadline of 120 days to submit the whole documentation for the next stage.

Subsequent to that we have recently sent the full documentation for my spouse (principal applicant), myself and our son too. The same was received at New Delhi on 13th October 2010, based on the courier details mentioned below (sent thru Blue Dart), which I suppose is just before lapse of the 120 day deadline (this was due to the delay in the PCC).

Courier Details:
Pickup Date 12 October 2010
From Hyderabad
To New Delhi
Status SHIPMENT DELIVERED
Date of Delivery 13 October 2010
Time of Delivery 10:00
Recipient Stamp

Now when I am trying to check the online status of our application it is still showing the same old status as below:

“Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on April 8, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 18, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.”

We are confused as to when the new status will be updated. We were told that a new file # would be assigned for this stage. Is that true? Generally how many days do they take to start processing once all the documents are submitted (called 2nd stage?) within the 120 day target period. Can anyone throw some light on this please? We are a bit anxious about this.

In the first email where they assigned the email, they did mention this:
“Once the visa office has received your complete application, it will send you an acknowledgement of receipt letter which will inform you of the next steps in the review of your application.”

Does that mean that they will send the acknowledgement by post or by email? We haven’t recvd any acknowledgement till date either by email or by post, hence anxious.

We filed the application under the Federal Skilled Worker category for the University Lecturers class (NOC 4131)

Thanks in advance and appreciate relevant responses!!!

Hi,

You will receive a 2nd AOR ( File number ) by post from visa office, New Delhi visa office is getting too many applications these days and it could take 1 month for you to receive your 2nd AOR as they have received your application on 13th Oct wait until atleast mid november before contacting them. Your status will change to "Received By VO" and when that happens means your 2nd AOR is on the way.

Cheers
saki

Thanks Saki. That keeps us relaxed for a while. Having spent so much it keeps us tensed from time to time. I can understand how anxious everyone in this forum are.

I would wait till the 2nd AOR is received. I will also keep checking the online status from time to time.

Also, I believe the 120 day deadline for us actually expires somewhere around 15th October or so (the date we received the email was 18th June). And, our full documentation reached them on 13th. Would this be ok? Are we safe as far as the deadline to submit the 2nd stage documentation is concerned?

Thanks,
RSK

Hi Andamanhunk,
Please stay calm all will be fine. I am also in the same situation, but it does not really matter because not all visa offices update the e.cas. My E.cas still shows the old information from Nova Scotia , but my file is moving forward. I got second AOr and also my application is in process right now and still has only the old information from Nova Scotia.

So my advice is forget about the E.cas and just wait for your 2nd AOR patiently.

I hope this helps.

Hi Canadaforall,

Appreciate your motivation and really like the way people here share their experience and knowledge. I see lot of positivity going around than negativity which is generally seen elsewhere. That is why I am a fan of this forum.

Kudos to you people.

As suggested, I will definitely wait for the 2nd AOR.

Thanks and Regards,
RSK

I have one doubt. In Saki's signature it is mentioned in the last as "Current Status - CIO review completed"

How do we know that? I see that you are also waiting for the 2nd AOR, like us. But how did you know that your CIO review is completed? and what is CIO?

RSK

You are welcome, we really want to try to help everybody , by sharing individual experiences. Sometimes i tell my mind, that if there exist love and happiness elsewhere like it exist in this forum then we needed not to worry about the so many things we worry about.

Many here are happy helping their brothers and sisters.

We pray we will all succeed.
