Hello,

Could you please let me know step by step procedure about how to apply for express entry for 2281 NOC.

Your help and guidance will guide me a straight path.

Start by reading here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp

You have to do the homework yourself else have no chance of completing all the documentation required which is clearly detailed on the CIC site. Once you have familiarised yourself with the requirements plenty of advice from this forum.

For a start what qualifications do you have ? Have you completed IELTS, if so what results ? How much foreign work experience do you have ? Do you have any Canadian experience ?

Hello,

Thank you for your valuable response.

Yes, I checked eligibility. I can apply for Express Entry. Based on eligibility I have following questions. Could you please answer.

I selected Which territory you plan to live in "Ontario" Here shall I select a territory which is not popular compare to others. Will it increase my chances ?

IELTS how much score do I need ?

I have foreign Experience for 3 Years and 4 months as a Network Administrator. I think if I wait for more 8 months my experience will be 4 Years and I will get extraa points. Isn't it the right idea? Orelse shall I apply for it right now and during the visa processing 8 months will over and my points will increase in experience ?

Also I have a relative in canada. My uncle "Mother brother" holding canadian passport. Will it add additional points ?

Also I am single and not married? Will it increase my points ?

Also I checked this llink : cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp for points calculation :

Following are my points break down :

1. 20 Points For English Only "English and Or french skills". Are there points based on score ? How are scores and points calculated ?

2. 23 Points for Bachelors Degree in Technology B.Tech in " Electronics and Communications Engineering" which is 4 years bachelors regular.

3. 11 Points for Experience 2-3 Years. however I hold 3 Years 4 months experience. Planning to wait for more 8 months before I apply. What do you think shall I wait or apply?

4. 12 Points For under Age 18-35

5. 5 Points for Adaptability (Relative in canada as I mentioned above my uncle.

Total points of calculation 71. Is it sufficient ?

The points you are referring to in your post are for the FSW Six Selection Factors. This is the score that determines whether or not you are eligible to create an Express Entry profile. In order to be eligible, you must score at least 67 points.

Once you have created your EE profile, you will be assigned your CRS score. Whether or not you are offered an ITA is based on your CRS score.
You can look at the CRS grid here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

This will not increase your chances.

You need at least 6 (CLB 7) in each band (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) to be eligible. But getting a higher score will increase your overall CRS score.

I have foreign Experience for 3 Years and 4 months as a Network Administrator. I think if I wait for more 8 months my experience will be 4 Years and I will get extraa points. Isn't it the right idea? 3 years is the maximum you can score points for in the CRS system; gaining an extra 8 months of experience will not increase your CRS score.
But it will increase your FSW score.

Also I have a relative in canada. My uncle "Mothers brother" holding canadian passport. Will it add additional points ?
In the FSW score, yes. In CRS, no.

Also I am single and not married? Will it increase my points ?
Sort of.
The maximum score for a married person and a single person are the same (1200 points). As a single person, you will score more points than a married person whose spouse has no IELTS or ECA.
You can check the difference in scores for single and married people in the CRS grid that I linked above.

This is a sufficient score to create an Express Entry Profile.
Check the CRS grid to calculate your CRS score. Recently, the minimum score to receive ITA is 482. If your CRS is above that, congratulations. If it is below that, you need to wait and hope that the scores come down, or find a way to increase you score.

You cannot create your EE profile until you have your IELTS results and your ECA.

Good luck.

Thank you for the valuable reply.

So I am okay to apply for Express Entry.

But what about CRS minimum criteria. How did you know that we need minimum CRS 482 to receive ITA ?

Because this is the minimum number of points it has taken to receive ITA over the last several months. Everything you're asking about is on the CIC web site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp

Hello Scylla,

Thank you for the information. but as per the link which you sent it shows that minimum "CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited as of 24th Aug 2016" is 538 Points.

It is very tough to score. Could you please give tips how can I score that much points in order to receive ITA ?

Shall I start with completing EE Profile and later hunt for a job to boost my points ?

The score fluctuates a fair bit. The latest draw was 538, but recently it's been sitting around 482. In the past, it has reached as low as 450.

The chance of you getting a job in Canada before you have PR is almost non-existent.
PNP is the best chance for increasing your score by a lot. If you only need to increase your score by a little bit, improving your IELTS results is the best way.
