Hi all,
The company I've been working for in the past 5 years has been implementing a new system which I've been part of the team. Through the description of NOC 2172 it seems to fit as it is, especially when it comes to database analyst on the following:
"Part of the implementation team of system and test database management systems
Modify, and integrate with the Inbound immigration team
Conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection, application and implementation of database management tools
Operate database management systems to analyze data and perform data mining analysis
May lead, co-ordinate or supervise other workers in this group."
My degrees, however, are non-tech. I've got a bacherlors in international business and a post-grad in Marketing. Would this cause confusion or even denial of the profile or something similar? Just want to make sure I don't necessarily need a degree in a tech course to be eligible for this NOC.
On its page it says that a degree in computer science "is usually required." But does not mention being mandatory, so it should be alright, correct?
Thank you in advance.
