I do not think rest of applicants who did not fall in the capp will automatically get into Express Entry. The application submission needs to be done again!

Your application is going to be returned. No - it won't fall into EE automatically.

Hi, as 2171 as capped out, the only choice you have under FSW 2014 is to see if you can apply under any other NOC where the CAP has not yet filled (also the current CAP is not near to being filled!). i.e., check if your work experience has duties that can be matched to other NOC's in FSW 2014. If this is not possible, then unfortunately you will need to wait for Express Entry.

If you are not confident, I will have to just sulk. I am last week of October applicant for 2171. I cannot believe within a week they went from 553 to 1000!

Dear experts,

My completed application reached to CIC on 13th August 2014 for NOC 2171 and I was very hopeful that I will get my File Number soon.
But I got horrified when I found that it reached the cap of 1000. However, after going through the thread, I have got some hope.

Could someone suggest me, what is chance of acceptance of my application and when should I expect it?

Of course, there is no use. Cap are there for a reason - once a NOC cap is reached, no further applications will be accepted for the same! If you can apply under different NOC that still has not reached cap then go ahead or else gear up for EE.

I think they will announce the express entry rules and eligibility criteria in Jan 1st week. The information we have is that you would be required to have the job offer prior to apply under express entry.

Filed application Sept 8 2014, recieved sept 12. Noc 2171. I called up CIC and i was told my application was sent back last feb 2. Until now havent recieved my application yet.
