I’m claiming NOC 12102 (Procurement and purchasing agents and officers – NOC 2021) for foreign work experience.
My role aligns strongly with the Purchasing Agents & Officers side (purchasing materials for production, assessing requirements, supplier communication, delivery logistics, purchasing documents, forecasting, reporting).
I do not perform senior procurement-only duties like tenders, contract awards, or strategic cost-reduction.
The NOC says workers perform “some or all” of the duties, and both procurement and purchasing roles are listed under the same NOC.
I’ve received conflicting advice:
One says matching one stream (purchasing) is enough
Another says I must “touch both” procurement and purchasing
To avoid overstating my role, I want to be accurate.
Is it acceptable to match only the Purchasing Agents & Officers duties under NOC 12102, without procurement-specific duties, if that reflects the actual job?
