"NOC 1122: Cap reached." When is the earliest I can apply for the next round?

The cap of 500 (seems very small) for NOC 1122 has already been reached for this year, which means, as per my understanding, that there is no point sending in my application now.

How long should I wait before sending in my application? Will the next round be in July 2012? Is it first-come-first serve in the sense that, the earlier I apply, the better my chances of being included within the 500 approved?

Correct. This NOC was capped as early as the first or second week of july.

It would be wise to send an application so it reaches the CIO at the beginning of the MI-4 period in early july 2012.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible for me to send the application in early 2012 (I was aiming at early Aug 2012). Does this mean that there is no point in submitting the application until *next* year (2013)? Or can I still submit the app (even if the cap is reached), and hope that it will be processed along the way?

In other words, is there any difference between applying this year (even after the cap is reached) and applying in early July 2013?

Assuming the number of applications for this noc (if it is in the list again) is even remotely similar to 2011, it would be useless to apply in august 2012. Once the noc is capped they will just return the application (along with all docs).
 
The cap was reached in about 5 business days this year. The cap will probably be reached even faster this year. I agree that it's going to be pointless to send your application in August.

If you apply after the cap has been reached - your application will be returned to you.
 
In how much time they ussually return teh application if the cap has been reached ? And do they return teh application with all the attachemnets (IELTS result, experience certificates etc) ? so we can apply again immediately by just fiuklkling in teh new forms.
 
Hello

Have Query on Work Experience and Transcripts: Last year applied on July'12 for NOC 1122, my file got returned as the CAP was full.

I am going to apply this year, do i need to get again the work Experience letters and Transcripts or use the previous years one?

And any idea when the announcement for this year begins?

Be aware!!!!!!! that the points criteria could change this year for MI5 & also nobody knows what NOC's will be there in the list.......Cheers!!!!!!!!!!
