It reads as follows,

• Financial investigators investigate possible unethical conduct or breaches of securities or commodity futures laws by persons or companies that trade in securities and commodity futures or that provide related financial services.

However, my broad understanding of a Financial Investigator/ investigation is used in corporate investigations, theft, embezzlement, money laundering, tax evasion, asset searches, criminal, and many other types of investigations.

Please advise if it also covers the regulatory/ review or limits only to securities or commodity futures laws by persons or companies that trade in securities and commodity futures or that provide related financial services..
