CIC last update on my wife file was sept 2013.i went to visit my file december 2013 to jan 2014.spent 1month with my wife.I immediately mailed the prove of visit to cic which was received by them middle of january 2014.I also included the copy of my canadian passport as a new citizen.Cic has not updated my our file since they receive the recent document.I have written them 5 times for update since i came back from Nigeria,no respons. Her medical will be expiring next month -march 2014.What should i do?why is it waisting so much time.why is CIC treating my file with personal perception and speculation.Application was received 2nd june 2013. 7 months + No decision.Should i travel to Ghana to their office.I dont mind if that will solve my problem.

Wasting time? Accra's processing time is 15 months; that count starts from the date that Accra received your file, not the date that Mississauga received it. You aren't even past the halfway mark yet.

Treating your file with personal perception and speculation? Of course they're doing that, it's the whole point of the application. The visa officer reviews your life together to make a decision on the validity of your relationship and whether to give PR. They can't very well do that without perception and speculation.

You cannot go to the visa office in person. As you've sent 5 emails recently, I would suggest you not send anymore for awhile.

Having looked at your previous posts, I see that you have a lot of red flags. Your refugee claim and returning to your country. Your previous spousal sponsorship app was refused and the appeal denied. Your ATIP notes said the VO suspects a Marriage of Convenience. The fact that you hadn't seen her for years and only went to visit after CIC had inquired about the long separation.

You should expect to face long delays in the processing.

My wife status changed to

Permanent Residence
1.We received her application for permanent residence on June 2, 2013.

2.We started processing her application on March 5, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

How long can we still wait. What might be the outcome? Her medical expired this march. please comment.

You will have to wait a long time, at least a year or more, because of the red flags mentioned earlier, and the previous refusal.

@Osun, please edit your post and remove your wife's name for privacy reasons. You can put 'xxxx' instead of her real name.

It's good they have begun processing her application. Really hard to say how much longer you need to wait but if there is no request for an interview and her background check comes back quick(and no issues), you could hear from them sooner. Just try to be patient and you can request your GCMS notes to see the progress on your application.

Thanks, that was not her real name anyway."just to make it clearer.

I received another email from accra today.7march.14

Dear xxxxxxxx

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in canada.in order for us to continue the processing of your application,we require the following documents.

1 7777777777777 (my id number) - xxxxxxx(my name).

2 sponsor to pay the RPRF.

note to avoid delay submit all requested documents at same time within 60days.

My QUESTION IS

what does number one & 2 means

I have paid the right of PR since 2011 (first sponsorship).I need advise pls.Is this a positive letter?

1. I don't know what number 1 means - strange. Is it your client ID number they are asking for? If you don't know for sure, send them a case specific inquiry to ask for clarification.

2. they are asking for the right of permanent residence fee ($495). If you had paid it a few years ago, then submit a copy of the receipt as proof and inform you have already paid it.
